Pampered Chef Director? You're joshing.

So I went to a meeting last night with Rogan Josh.

Not a personal friend, you understand, I am talking about a curry at a particularly enjoyable Indian restaurant at Market Rasen. Seven of us met with Clare with a view to the remaining six of us becoming directors (as she is) with The Pampered Chef within a year.

Tall order?  Well, we'll see won't we. Achievable certainly and I think we're all keen to get cracking.  A bit of a step for me as my first ever show isn't until tomorrow.  And yet I'm already thinking of moving up a rung. Well, as I keep being told; there are no limits to any of this.

I'm sure it becomes easier to slip into that train of thought after a while or if your continuing background is, or has been, in direct sales.  For me it makes sense as a concept but the rest of me is still running to catch up.  The one point I can make is, that it's all very interesting and if I'm honest, really quite exciting.

It's not all banging the table, hands in the air motivational stuff, it's just a good dollop of common sense and a breath of fresh air, really. What is there stopping any of us going forward?  Well clearly each of us has a range of personal circumstances, a view of who we are as people and some of those circumstances may not make a smooth path always possible.

But at least the possibilty is there.  I have to admit, I am quite facinated by what might be.

(thesaurus: joshing: tease, to make fun - that's me trying to be a smarty pants again. Sorry.)

  1. Mike I have absolutely no doubt that should you want more with The Pampered Chef you will get it! It doesn't come overnight but it comes with consistency and a belief in what you are selling not only in terms of the products, recipes, ethos of the company but in what we have to offer others. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme and nor should it be, just a tried and tested formula (30+ years now) and if Warren Buffett thinks it's good enough to add to his portfolio of companies at Berkshire Hathaway that's good enough recommendation for the rest of us! I look forward to watching/reading about your journey with The PC and sharing your successes and commiserating with you when you have the lows too, which like everything in life come hand in hand! Good luck and what a brilliant blog! Puts mine to shame and has inspired me to go back and be better! Belinda Wood, Independent Director for The Pampered Chef UK
